"The proportions in which each person appropriates itself in a house are the beggining of a relationship with the world, and the quality of a landscape is connected to the quality of the architecture in which one inhabits. (...) The housing is the cursor of proportion and therefore of my relationship with the world. Architecture is a measure of the world". French urbanist and philosopher Paul Virilio defined in this way our "confort zone", the dimension of our intimate and familiar space as a measure to our perspective about the exterior universe. That's why the house, synonym of refuge and shelter, is for many of the biggest challenges in the architecture craft.
